"Never in my wildest dreams did I think that what was a tiny cow shed, could be an exquisite family home. But with Andrew Radford’s commitment to this project that’s exactly what we’ve got. Working with a small footprint, limited head-height and on a site with poor accessibility, there was no room for error on this project. From the very beginning, Andrew and the team have been on board with our vision and have delivered more than we could have hoped. Andrew didn’t hesitate when we challenged him to fit two bedrooms and a bathroom in the roof space, he just found a solution to fit the stairs in. He didn’t flinch when I said I wanted a glazed gable-end and floor to ceiling windows, he just built the frames to stay within budget. He didn’t cringe when I changed the ground-floor layout to be more open plan, he just re-worked the fire plan for building control. He did raise an eyebrow when Insisted I needed a boot room, but he gave me a boiler room with coat hooks. Whatever I’ve requested, Radford Construction have provided a solution, and the result is a home that is both practical and beautiful. We absolutely love it and feel very, very lucky to live here. "

Work Description: Extension to kitchen and living room and garage construction
"We are writing to thank you for the excellent work you have done on our property, to say we're thrilled with the extension is an understatement.
You and your team worked together to create our long held dream of a larger kitchen, despite several problems presented to you along the way. Each one of your team was friendly, courteous, trustworthy and hard working. From the start, we knew our home was in safe capable hands, no matter who was working on it, internally or externally. All your staff were tidy workers and the house was left clean and tidy each evening on our return from work.
Your knowledge is vast on all areas of building work. We particularly liked that you were both environmentally friendly and sympathetic to the aesthetics of our house, demonstrated by the re-use of bricks from a demolished part, which helped to blend in the extended kitchen. You will offer an opinion when asked, and equally if we asked for advice, it was sound and helpful. Despite some wet weather and additional requirements we added, the project was completed within original time estimate, with transparency around the additional costs incurred during the build, which were only due to our changing of the specification."

Work description: Investigate and repair cause for collapsed bedroom floor.
Thorough investigation found source to be due to inadequately installed plumbing. Work commenced to clear and dry out the flooded area and to replace the plumbing, rotten joists & floorboards to the apartment. Very customer focused company Job transpired to be bigger than anticipated but contractor kept us informed throughout, providing cost effective options for the repairs. Workers were pleasant and respectful, site left clear and clean each day. A rare find - a professional company with a heart for customer service & satisfaction.
We have since had Radford Construction out to our apartment block to replace the inadequate plumbing throughout all apartments - in all cases the work has been consistent and professional. The nature of the work unfolded a lot of hidden 'bodges' that Radford Construction happily discussed and rectified. Customer After Care has been fantastic. Highly recommend this company for both interior and exterior work. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Honesty Really Appreciated
Roof repairs estimate was £320 + vat, actual price on £91 inc vat, as roof not as bad at first thought. I was very impressed at the roof honesty. This was seen to when I was away from the property. He could have charged me the full estimate of £320 + vat. (I would have never known). He only charged £91 as roof not as bad as first thought. He made other repairs and gave me advice. I appreciated a proper bill at the end of each stage too. (Not always given in this day and age.)
